• Avoiding disputes Tip #7 - be aware that your actions today could be scrutinised by HMRC any time over the next 5 years. Employees will be more cautious about raising issues at the moment whilst there's uncertainty over jobs. If they're made redundant or have other issues in months and years to come they may be less concerned about putting their heads above the parapet. If you're breaking the rules don't get complacent about a lack of disputes in the short term!

  • In this blog I provide a link for anybody wanting to receive our 55 practical tips on returning employees from furlough. Whilst there are no precedents or comprehensive governmental guides (at the time of writing) I wanted to share the thoughts I had given to the CIPD's People Management magazine for their upcoming edition.

  • Quick daily tip #4 for avoiding future disputes relates to the people who are still working. I'm picking up vibes of disputes bubbling about them also picking up extra work that other employees who are furloughed would normally have done so they're over capacity. Really worth looking at now if you have this situation as it's unfair and whilst employees may be reluctant to raise the issues now it's very likely to come out over the coming months or even years.
