Managing people can be tough, frustrating and incredibly hard work - but equally with a little help along the way it can be extremely exciting, rewarding and great fun.
⛔️Are your managers struggling to deal with difficult people issues? Are they stressed, tired and frustrated?
⛔️Is productivity in your organisation suffering due to absence, performance / capability or attitude?
⛔️Are your employees less than enthusiastic about customer demands and improving productivity?
⛔️Do employee surveys say you need to improve communication, be more visible or listen more?
⛔️Are your senior leaders distracted from strategic focus due to short-term people issues?
⛔️Do your managers struggle to get employees involved?
⛔️Do you have disputes that need impartial and independent mediation?
When it comes to leading people effectively there's no substitute for experience - no short cuts either.
I worked on the shop floor for years, progressing through the ranks to running my own factories - leading hundreds of employees and supplying highly demanding customers at tight profit margins. I've worked at Executive level in HR for global blue chip companies and throughout my career I've always worked closely with Trade Unions. As an accredited Mediator I've also been in the middle of a diverse range of disputes. Over 3 decades in industry I've seen most people issues from pretty much every angle - and there's always a solution.
We'll never just regurgitate theory. If you want theories don't waste money - just ask Google or buy a book. We'll get on the pitch with you and work with your leadership teams, HR teams, employees and representatives. Between us we can deliver sustained productivity improvements in the right way for the business and for employees.
Importantly, we’ll help to ensure difficult conversations are addressed - these are avoided too often and are absolutely critical - if leading effectively was just about the soft and fluffy bits it'd be easy and anyone could do it!
I've been in your shoes, I have the scars and I've learnt from mistakes. I've also seen the amazing transformation that occurs with basic but fundamental changes in how people are led. Training courses have their place - but they don't transform managers into effective people leaders or improve businesses - pragmatic and accountable leadership does.
Pragmatism is more than our name - it's the ethos we live by.
